本作做得最好的是節奏相對比之前兩部慢，但打鬥場面和美術同樣做得相當不錯，幾個短兵相接的鏡頭做到恰到好處，情感方面也是比前兩部來得比較多的地方，葉問和張永成的婚姻，感情和愛情完全領著整部電影
